CPeX @ Trix

Het was echt lachen, woensdagavond in zaal/café Trix met Clement Peerens. De mannen hebben nog niets van hun talent verloren en Dave De Peuter is een waardige vervanger van de Swa. Hieronder vind je de ingescande setlist van die avond. Ze hebben hem wel helemaal ondersteboven gesmeten toen ze op het podium stonden, maar het geeft alleszins een goed idee van de nummers en covers die ze gespeeld hebben. Vooral Architect (jep, van dEUS) was geweldig: “Hier zen ze ni zoe gekend. Ze emme meer succes in t boitenland. Tenminste, da zegge ze zelf. Na kunde zelf is zien oe een nummer helemaal tot zijn recht komt as het deur nen goeie groep weurt gespeld!”

Geslaagd!

Joepie! Gisteren was het proclamatie van mijn schatteke en ze is met glans geslaagd! Een dikke proficiat lieve schat! Geniet maar van de drie lesvrije maanden die eraan komen!

Lekker wijntje

Een Franse uit het gezegende jaar 2005. Madiran heet hij. Ik heb hem gevonden in de Colruyt in Leuven. In de Colruyt van Wilrijk heb ik hem echter niet gevonden. Voor de technische strobist kant deze foto moet je op mijn fotoblog zijn!

Red wine

A nice bottle of red wine I drank a couple of days ago. Couldn’t resist to take a picture of it. I took this one with the flash off camera. Below you see the setting. The purpose was to take a picture of the entire bottle.

The bottle is place on a white cotton sheet. The flash is placed above it and placed as close to the wall as possible in order to avoid a border line between the table and the wall. The bottle is a bit in front of the flash to have a small shadow and to avoid harsh spot lights on the neck. To soften the shadows I placed a reflector on the other side. And this is the result:

Twente University, Enschede

Last week I was in Enschede for a conference at the university of Twente, which was located a few kilometers out of the city’s centre. The Dutch bus drivers were on a strike, so there was no way of going to the centre, leaving us stuck on the campus. The only interesting thing to shoot was this church tower in a pool. It seems as if there is a complete church under the water surface, but it’s just a piece art. I forgot the name of the artist though.

Corvette

Sunday, on the highway, I saw this beautiful Corvette. It drove in front of us and with the IS of my new lens it wasn’t that difficult to show its speed with a handheld shot at 1/15s. Used shutter priority for this one and AF Servo.

Oh, and I shopped his license plate and a couple of other cars away. No crop.

Kwijt: Canon 50mm f1.4

Goya zei in mijn comments dat hij een lens kwijt is. Die dingen kosten geld en als fotograaf ben je ongelooflijk gehecht aan je gerief. Het betreft de Canon 50mm f1.4, een mooi en duur ding. Het ding is zoek geraakt op de laatste Blogmeet in Leuven. Vandaar dus deze oproep:
