Database upgrade

Oh, ooooooooh.

One.com is going to upgrade the MySQL database, from version 4.1 to version 5.0 on the server for the domain dikkie.net.

The reasons for the upgrade are that MySQL5 offers new and improved functions and that MySQL 4 is considered deprecated by MySQL and will not be receiving any further updates.

The upgrade is planned to take place on 2007-10-31 at about 07.00 CEST. We estimate that the upgrade will take approx. 30 minutes.

The website will work as usual and only parts that rely upon the database will be affected during the upgrade.

We advice you to keep an eye out for any problems that arise after the upgrade.

    Voor zover ik weet, zit ik nog bij One.com, ja.

    Zal binnenkort wel een verwittiging krijgen dan zeker. Tenzij mijn account niet zo belangrijk als die van u natuurlijk :-(
